A Walk In Wonderland

The 37 oil paintings in this show are linked to the story of Alice in Wonderland. Famous artists like Dali, Magritte, Freud, Chagall and Warhol have influenced some works. Others take their title from famous quotes in the story.

From a creative viewpoint, this has been a liberating experience. Anything goes. I have painted landscapes, gardens, portaits and still life. I have been "allowed" to use impossible images to create quirky and interesting pieces. Colour has been an important element of this series. If you are young or simply young at heart, you should be able to enjoy this body of work.

Exhibition held at the Christine Smith Gallery at The University of Ballarat, Horsham. Opening at 6:30pm on Thursday the 18th of April.
